Place: The most valuable opinions: Writer:
1 Bahnhofstrasse
Zurych, Switzerland
The Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich’s resplendent, tree-lined exclusive shopping avenue, stretches a mile (1.4 kilometers). You’ll find some of Switzerland’s top shopping along its length, from top clothing designers to high-end options for shoes, furs, accessories, china, and jewelry. And, of course, Swiss watches.

$5.00
2 Hagia Sophia
Istanbul, Turkey
Once a church, later a mosque, and now a museum, Hagia Sophia is a architectural masterpiece. A perfect example of Byzantine architecture, due to many factors, including being burned down in riots and earthquakes, the ancient cathedral has been rebuilt many times since. Despite this, Hagia Sophia is widely recognised as one of the great buildings of the world. $4.50
3 Kansas City Public Library
Missouri, USA
This installation is permanent, on a much larger scale, and is designed to conceal the library’s car park. Here the public were asked to nominate books that they felt represented Kansas City. The library was founded in 1873 A.D, and is the oldest and the third largest public library in Kansas City area. $4.00
4 Ideal Palace
Hauterives, France
Cheval began the building in April 1879. He claimed that he had tripped on a stone and was inspired by its shape. He returned to the same spot the next day and started collecting stones. For the next 33 years, during his daily mail route, Cheval carried stones from his delivery rounds and at home used them to build his Palais ideal, the Ideal Palace. First he carried the stones in his pockets, then a basket and eventually a wheelbarrow. He often worked at night, by the light of an oil lamp. $3.50
5 Bondi Beach
Sydney, Australia
Anybody else loving life in Bondi right now? We’re enjoying brilliant blue skies, crisp air, a laidback vibe and shorter coffee queues. Saturdays at the Bondi Farmers Markets have never been busier with fabulous food stalls alongside a huge lawnful of happy locals lounging on picnic blankets. I’ve just updated the long list of events on the winter horizon with details for 14 community cultural offerings such as art, theatre, fairs, festivals, awards, music & walk

6 Gran Salar de Uyuni
Bolivia
The Gran Salar de Uyuni in southern Bolivia takes in more than 10 square kilometers of salt. It feels more like a desert than a lake. The flat, white landscape causes optical illusions and reflects colors. There’s even a hotel made almost entirely of salt.

7 Fly Geyser
USA
It was formed by accident. In 1964 drilling for sources of geothermal energy caused minerals to rise up into the strange-but-true form you can still admire today. $2.00
8 The Door to Hell
Turkmenistan
The Door to Hell in Turkmenistan’s Karakum Desert has been burning brightly for over 40 years, ever since geologists tried to burn off natural gases discovered when drilling at the site.
Sky Scanner
$1.50
9 Copacabana Beach
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Copacabana Beach is one of the most famous and most beautiful beaches in the world. The atmosphere is very vibrant and the people are colorful and fun loving. Take a walk along the beach to enjoy some of the most incredible sand sculptures and when you get thirsty try some of the agua de coco or coconut water straight from the coconut.

10 Guggenheim Museum
Bilbao, Spain
The Guggenheim museum Bilbao is one of the most admired works of contemporary architecture. California-based Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry created the unique concept after winning an architectural competition to design the building. Since the museum doors opened in 1997, it has been hailed one of the most important buildings of the 20th century. $0.50
